26 1/2 Weeks

So it has been a little while since I have blogged. Billy and I have been busy with baby classes lately. We are in a 4 week class called Marvelous Multiples and just last night we went to a Baby Care Basics class. We have learned a ton already and met some other couples that are also having twins. We have had a a couple doctors appointments in the last couple weeks. The boys are looking great and still growing a ton. On Tuesday we learned that currently Baby B is now head down, joining his brother. So we once again got a cute ultrasound picture of their heads together. So hopefully the guys stay that way until 36 weeks! Over the last couple weeks I have also learned that bed rest is coming, but hopefully later rather than sooner. So per the doctor I have been taking it very easy. I am still working, but am taking it super easy at home. Billy has been super supportive and makes me dinner every night. He is the best, I will keep him!

A couple weekends ago we registered at Babies R Us. It felt like we were there forever! It is amazing all of the things that you need for such little people. We were lucky enough to have already received a new present, my friends Brandi, Jasmyn, Michelle and Cynthia got us the swing that we registered for. The boys are very excited! My grandparents also so generously offered to get us 2 highchairs for the boys. We briefly went down that isle, but still are not 100% sure what exactly we want. We are also still moving around the furniture in the nursery to see if we can come up with the best fit for everything. I also have ordered a couple pairs of sheets and included the pictures above. Thoughts? We are still working on other decorations for the nursery and I will post pictures when I have something to report.

The boys also got some more presents this past week with a package from Chad, Brandi and Dylan. Dylan loaned the babies some newborn onesies and even Billy received something special (see the picture above) :) My sister and friend Elizabeth have been so generous as to throw me a baby shower next Saturday, the 30th. I am very excited that my sister is coming to town to visit and also very much looking forward to the party!

We hope that all is well with you all reading this!

25 Weeks

At the doctor's appointment on Monday everything went well and still looks good. We didn't get any pictures this time, maybe next Monday. The babies continue to move around a ton, especially at night. Before I could just feel kicks, now I can feel them worming around. They went through a spell where whenever Billy would put his hands on my belly they would instantly stop moving. Now they are a little more compliant. My belly is continuing to grow and grow, which is pretty evident by the pictures above. I am planning another shopping trip this weekend to buy some new shirts as I have already outgrown some already.

We continue to brainstorm different ways to put the nursery together. I have included our most recent configuration. We also made a new purchase this weekend, a chocolate brown recliner from La-Z-Boy. It is amazing! It doesn't really "go" in our living room, but I don't care, it feels so good to relax in. It also rocks, so this will serve as our rocker once the babies come.
I have also spent countless hours internet shopping for baby bedding. I have had a hard time finding anything that I like. I did find these cute sheets from Land of Nod. I included a picture of the color swatch up against the crib. So I think that I will just put things together myself instead of buying a complete set. I will keep you updated on what I find. I am going fabric shopping with my friend Tiffany tomorrow to hopefully find some neat fabric to make curtains.
So the countdown continues, less than 11 weeks now! We can't wait, but hope the babies stay in there the fully 11 weeks. Two doctors have now told me that it is a good thing that I am tall, so hopefully that helps.
