December Happenings (Pre-Christmas)

This holiday season was a busy one in Twin Town! The boys did a lot of fun things and here are only a few and this doesn't include Christmas. That will be a whole other post! Enjoy the pictures! (and thanks for the blog post idea Mandy!)

Carson cried, Weston is trying to stay strong, gotta love the classic Santa picture! We were fortunate to attend the Boise Mothers of Multiples Children's Christmas Party.

All of a sudden one night we look over and the boys were lifting up their shirts and doing chest bumps and laughing histerically. They crack us up on a daily basis!

We decorated for Christmas just the week before because we were afraid the boys would touch the tree too much. Like everything else it kind of lost it's appeal. Above we decided to try something new with our stockings (we had to go pretty high to get everything out of the reach of little people). We also displayed our Christmas cards this year and all of us loved it. Thanks Rulon's for the idea! Below is a picture of our tree helpers. For some reason when I said stand by the tree they thought I meant stand in the tree. Carson also loved to turn on and off the lights.

Taylor and Marissa came over for dinner. Their parents just found out they were identical that afternoon. Good thing, the boys are kind of twin snobs :)

Carson & Weston having a snack before dinner. They are getting so big. For snacks they can sit up at the island by themselves.

Billy and I before my company Christmas party

Weston loves peanut butter and nutella sandwiches, unfortunately they are a little messy. Carson loves to "paint" on his mustache.

Weston & Carson at a BMOM play date. Those two didn't get too far from each other.

I Love My Camera!

After seeing a picture like this I am reminded why I need to take more pictures and why I love my camera! Thanks Mom for the "fancy" lense as I call it, it does amazing work! I also have a pretty cute subject. This is Carson at the park blowing a dandelion.

Halloween 2011

Happy Halloween! This is the holiday that has just kept going. The boys dressed up for Stroller Strides on Friday, Weston was a monkey, Carson was a dragon (they are wearing "their" costumes in the first picture, but not in the subsequent ones). They then dressed up for Boo at the Zoo on Saturday. Then later that afternoon for a photo shoot at the park. As my mom and I were getting them ready, Weston picked up the dragon jacket, so we put Carson in the monkey costume. I didn't think it was a big deal, but of course then I get a ton of cute photos at the park. Oh well, these pictures will keep us guessing for years to come. Gotta love having identical twins! C&W also dressed up in their Daniel Boone outfits my mom made them and came into my office. Weston wasn't too sure of all of the strangers, but Carson quickly got the hang of trick or treating. After a quick walk on the greenbelt with Grandma the boys headed home to hang out with their long lost friends Gracie and Molly. After catching up they once again got in their Daniel Boone suits on and got in their strollers and headed out in to the neighborhood. We didn't get any pictures, but we did get some videos of the actual trick or treating. I will try to post a video soon.

19 Months

Weston (while doing Ta Da) stole Carson's pajamas and he wants them back

Carson got his pajamas back (he loves them because they are so soft)
Carson and Weston are 19 months old today (I wrote this last week but had problems uploading the pictures until now)! These were the best pictures we could get of them tonight. We tried to get a brother shot but Weston was way too busy for that. Currently the boys are talking up a storm. They say Da Da, Ga Ga (Grandma), sometimes Mama, Yes, No, Du Du (Doodle) and lot of other things that we can't translate, but they know what they are saying. Tonight the big thing to do was find lint on the floor, throw it away in the trash, and then rub their hands together. Crazy little guys. Happy Halloween everyone! More pics of the two different costumes the boys will be sporting.

Weston - 18 Months

Hi my name is Weston. People call me Rooney, Westy Rex, The Rooneynator, or Roon Digity. I love to eat all fruit and have been known to eat an entire peach or plum mainly because of my patented "shovel" method. I can often be seen wearing a cool cape (aka my blanket) as well as clutching a sheep or giraffe figure upside down. I love to be spun around and when I don't want to be put down I hover my legs a couple inches above the ground. Even though my brother is bigger and stronger, I have thing on my side, biting. When I wake up I jump up and down in my bed for about 10 minutes before alerting my parents that I am awake. I almost always wake up happy (unlike someone else I know). I love my dog Jasper, I call him Doo Doo (Doodle).

Carson - 18 Months

Hi, I am Carson, also known as Carse, Carson Bear, Carse-a-Boo, The Carsonator, and Buddy. I love anything electronic like cell phones, iPads, laptops and DVD players and I have a special radar that locates them anywhere in my proximity. My favorite thing to do right now is turn on and off the light and I am constantly "asking" aka winning to do this. My favorite place to watch my Baby Signing Time is on the arm of the couch. I currently do sort of a high step run with my arms flapping about. I love to scream in small places like the bathroom and hallway to hear my voice echo. I used to love to eat bark, then I would throw it up in the air, and now I stick it in my ear like a q-tip. I love to snuggle with my Mommy and Daddy and run at them full speed with an open mouth to give them a big hug and a wet kiss.

Park Photos

I know it has been forever since I blogged! I need to do posts for our Priest Lake and McCall trips. But since this was much faster, I decided to post a couple pics for everyone. We took the boys to the park earlier this month and got some cute pictures of them. I used my fancy lens that my mom got Billy and I for Christmas. It makes the pictures look amazing! And of course the subjects are bad themselves :)

Portland Trip

The ENTIRE Heyer family and almost everybody is looking (Carson)

Happy 83rd Birthday Gram!

All the cousins on the 4th (they were still because they were watching a sign language DVD)

Coley hamming it up for for the camera

My two favorite little gals were so good and let me take their picture, a far cry from the boys

This is only the beginning of the trouble these three will get into......

The Heyers and The Becks (quads anyone?)

This post is only a month late, but who is counting? We went to Portland over the 4th of July to spend time with Billy's family. We were very fortunate to be able to stay with Billy's brother and his family while we were there. They have a beautiful house and made our stay so comfortable. They gave the boys Cole's room and borrowed an extra pack and play and high chair so we didn't have to pack as many things. They also provided the best baby sitter ever, Miss Ava, who will be a second grader next year. Wow, when did that happen? Every time I think of her I still think she is Addie's age (her younger sister who is going to be 4). She loved playing with her cousins and they loved her too. We enjoyed just hanging out. Unfortunately the boys were still on Boise time, so we quickly packed them up in their stroller each morning and walked down to Starbucks.

We got to see our friends, Charles and Sarah Beck and their identical twins boys Andrew and James. They are about 4 weeks older the Carson & Weston. It was fun to watch the boys play at the park and catch up with some other twin parents. We also got to go to the Portland Zoo. The boys loved all of the different animals that they got to see especially the bears. We don't have an elephant at the Boise zoo, so I was really hoping to get to see one in Portland, but unfortunately you couldn't see him from a stroller. Maybe when the boys are a little older we can take them back there. C&W also enjoyed swimming at Billy's grandparents hotel with their cousins on the 4th. We were fortunately to be able to celebrate Billy's Grandma Vera's 83rd birthday also on the 4th of July. And it wouldn't be a complete Heyer family celebration without some fireworks. Ava and Addie loved lighting off fireworks and sparklers. It had actually been a while since I had seen fireworks myself.

This was the boys' first big road trip of the season. They hadn't spent more than 20 minutes in the car since Christmas. We were a little nervous at first, but they did great. Thank goodness for the DVD player and their sign language videos! We couldn't have done it without them. We didn't break any sped records driving as we had to make several stops to let the kids out to run around. And also thank goodness for grapes, baby smoothies (thanks Mandy), gogurts, and bananas. Oh and of course the grilled cheese sandwich they got from Jack in the Box. What, they were on vacation too :)

It was a wonderful time and we can't thank our hosts enough. Thank you Andy, Rachel, Ava, Addie & Cole! Also a big thank you to Billy's parents for taking Jasper in their car. One less "child" to wrangle on the trip.
