34 Weeks

Wow, we are amazed that we have made it this far! We of course hope to make it a couple more weeks, but you never know. We had our 34 week appointment yesterday and the boys continue to grow a ton. Baby A weighs 5 pounds, while Baby B weighs 4 ½ pounds. As they get bigger, the margin for error also gets bigger, so although that is what the computer calculated due to their measurements, it also said plus or minus 12 oz. Pretty big margin, kind of funny. So who knows what they will weigh when they are born. My blood pressure and other warning signs for preeclampsia still look stable, so that was wonderful news. They did notice that the amniotic fluid was a little low, so I am going in on Thursday for them to take another look at that. Pretty much every time we go in it is something different. At least we are nearing the end.

Big changes in the babies room this weekend. With my mom and Billy’s parents here Friday night and Saturday morning, they put up valances and curtains. It really makes the room look a lot more finished. Billy and his dad also brought up a chair for the nursery and unfortunately barely got it in the room. They had to take off the legs of the chair and the door. Luckily it just fit! We are now working on putting up some pictures on the walls. The babies’ room is nearly complete, and pretty much just in time for the little guys arrival.

We got some very exciting news on Saturday, Billy’s brother Andy and his wife Rachel (who didn’t know the sex of their baby) had a little boy! Cole Jacob joins big sisters Ava and Addie and we are very excited. We think the twins will love having a boy cousin so close to their age. It might be kind of crazy when the three of them get together!

I just talked with my sister and she has so nicely agreed to update the blog when we are in the hospital and when the babies are born. So definitely keep checking in here for updates on the little guys upcoming arrival.

So I am having trouble uploading photos tonight, so I will post them in another post.

  1. I bet it will feel so good to get the nursery 100% complete and ready for the little guys!

Congrats to Andy and Rachel! So exciting. I can only imagine the chaos when you get Cole and the twins together once they're old enough to run around!
